Reverse Cinderella Project: Working Title

You may see a few pitch projects coming under this banner. When I do a pitch, I wrap it into an entire 'unique' packaging that includes guide visuals. I am pitching a project that is in a lot of ways a reverse Cinderella story. This is not the title just the working name posted here to give you an overall IDEA of the vision. Tagline: A young black male (Stefan) has to live in the home of his stepmother and her sons after his father dies. The stepbrothers are jealous of his looks and life possibilities while the stepmother simply loathes him. The only reason she keeps him on is due to a clause in her deceased husband's will that says she has to keep him as a viable part of the family, in the home until he is 30. If the stepmother doesn't abide by those rules, she loses EVERYTHING and it goes to the stepson. This sets the stage for dramatic twists, turns, backstabbing, deceit and a plot of murder. Summarizing: This is not just a dramatic re-imaging. This is total redo if you will but will use small elements from the classic Disney tale. It's almost like the Archie tv series that was nothing like its comic predecessor while taking on a. darker, deeply dramatic tone. Anytime I take meetings or have conversations with producers or production companies, I make sure I start off notifying the entity that I am looking to break new talent. It has been my thing since a kid. Reading all the celebrity and Hollywood autobiographies with vivid adventures that it took to break new talent always fascinated me. I also ditched my entire High School experience sneaking into the backlot of Universal Studios (the gate guards saw me so much with my backpack they thought I worked there. Would never happen in this era) Sadly we are living in a different world. British Actors are taking over a lot of the African American roles in Hollywood. I have my theory as to why just through the whole casting process and the 'getting to know the actor mentality of today' avenue in Hollywood. Work ethic remains a top priority for me as I continue to appreciate the blessing of creating and entertaining audiences...The only thing missing is a true future superstar who has a big work ethic to absorb some of my many stories. Imagine almost anything in life inspiring a story in my head on a daily basis and having to find an actor each time. Having a muse actor in my pocket would be so friggin extraordinary. Being blessed to cast around your lead would make my creating more free. You don't get it or believe me? Just took at Tim Burton and Johnny Depp. Closing note: Crafting a multi media live stage event. Most of the actors in his show submitted for other things. I saw something in their acting that provoked me to write something specific for them. The show is basically comprised of multiple storylines (live & film) that I personalized for each actor. It's my passion.
