When a community mourns over the loss of several young individuals, their lives are unexpectedly intertwined and forever changed. This is a story about salvation, free will and what it means to have "real life".

Young adult. Salt of the earth person and friend of Marcy, he is also one of the members of her church. He fortunately was blessed with a good family of faith and wants to spread the gospel to the youth by any means necessary. He's a good listener and will firmly stand up for what he believes in.

Young adult. Star is a person that could belong straight out of the '60s as a prototypical hippie. She's into the hippie scene and kind of all over the place character. She soon has an encounter that makes her realize that there's more to eternity than partying and a loose lifestyle.

Marcy is a Christian but is deeply ashamed of her faith. Her best friend is Kim, who's not a Christian. Marcy struggles with this, especially knowing Kim needs some real answers in her lives. She tries to "straddle the fence" but that really isn't working well for her.
