PLAY’S DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION HISTORY My sister had just died; she was the last one in my family that was alive. I couldn’t wrap my head around the fact that they were all gone. Out of pure grief I started writing a series of monologues that I eventually strung together to form a play, but the play didn’t have a strong story line, actually, it didn’t have one at all, so I called upon my old friend playwright Justin Tanner. Through a series of rewrites and zoom meetings he helped me define the characters and realize what I was trying to say. When we both felt it was ready, I cast the play and performed a reading of ‘Old Man’. It was well received and now is ready for full production.
