Cache Valley is a satirical piece leveraging the oddity of Mormon subculture. The show breaks the 4th wall to unpack universal themes of loneliness, loss, joy, identity, and shame in an unexpected setting. A realistic portrayal of Mormon life that uses dark comedy to show the mental gymnastics involved when your true self refuses to stay inside. Throughout the series and specifically the pilot, we see characters tackling the roles generationally placed upon them.
