Synopsis:

CLOSED FOR SUBMISSION - Synopsis: This project presents a dramatic retelling of Attack on Titan, adapted to emphasize cinematic scale, character-driven storytelling, and thematic depth. At its core, the narrative explores the conflict between humanity’s desire for freedom and the oppressive structures—physical, political, and psychological—that confine them. The world is constructed as an enclosed society framed by massive walls, each representing both literal protection and symbolic limitation. Within these walls, people live structured lives dictated by military hierarchy, societal expectations, and a fear of the unknown. The project seeks to immerse audiences in a world where survival is not just physical but ideological. The environment is crafted with meticulous attention to mood and texture. The outer districts are grim, industrial, and burdened by poverty, reflecting constant vulnerability. The inner walls feature political corruption, aristocratic luxury, and fragile illusions of peace. This contrast deepens the viewer’s understanding of inequality and the hidden tensions that shape society. As the story progresses, the physical boundaries of the world expand, revealing a complex geopolitical landscape beyond the walls that reframes the entire conflict. Character arcs are a central focus. Eren Yeager’s transformation—from an impulsive, idealistic youth into a morally conflicted figure driven by destiny—anchors the emotional core of the narrative. His motivations, relationships, and inner struggles evolve in tandem with the audience’s understanding of the world’s truth. Mikasa Ackerman symbolizes discipline, loyalty, and emotional restraint, while Armin Arlert embodies strategic empathy, using intelligence as his driving force rather than aggression. Levi Ackerman provides a balance between raw strength and stoic reflection, with his backstory adding weight to his decisions. Erwin Smith and Hange Zoë contribute leadership, vision, and scientific curiosity, representing different facets of humanity’s response to fear and ignorance. A major creative priority is portraying the Titan threat in a way that is visually striking and emotionally unsettling. Titans are designed to evoke both horror and fascination. Their movements, expressions, and unpredictable behavior reinforce the fragile existence of the human characters. Battles are choreographed with realism and intensity, combining physical action, emotional stakes, and strategic complexity. The vertical maneuvering equipment introduces a kinetic, aerial style of combat that offers a fresh visual identity. Thematically, the project examines freedom, moral ambiguity, generational trauma, propaganda, and the cost of truth. Characters must confront the uncomfortable reality that the Titans are not the only enemy; sometimes, fear, prejudice, and hidden agendas within their own society pose even greater dangers. The evolution from survival horror to political mystery and finally to global conflict gives the project a layered structure, allowing viewers to grow with the story. Ultimately, this adaptation aims to deliver a narrative that resonates deeply with contemporary audiences—highlighting the tension between security and autonomy, the complexity of leadership, and the painful choices required to break cycles of violence. The project blends action, philosophy, and human emotion into a compelling, immersive experience. The project further emphasizes the emotional weight carried by each character as they navigate a world shaped by fear, oppression, and hidden history. A critical creative goal is to highlight how individual motivations—whether rooted in loss, duty, curiosity, or idealism—intersect with the larger narrative of humanity’s struggle. This adaptation places strong focus on the psychological and moral conflicts that drive the characters, exploring how trauma, responsibility, and hope shape their decisions. Project Notes

CLOSED FOR SUBMISSIONS - Additional Project Details Humanity survives inside three towering walls that shield them from the terrifying Titans—giant, humanoid creatures that devour humans without reason. For a century, the walls have provided safety, and generations grow up believing the Titans are a distant threat. But in the outer district of Shiganshina, young Eren Yeager dreams of a world beyond these barriers, driven by a relentless desire for freedom. Alongside him are Mikasa Ackerman, his fiercely protective adoptive sister, and Armin Arlert, a thoughtful boy inspired by tales of the outside world. Their peaceful life shatters when a colossal Titan appears and breaches Wall Maria, allowing hordes of Titans to invade. Families are destroyed, towns fall, and humanity retreats inward. This traumatic event becomes the turning point of Eren’s life, shaping his pledge to eradicate Titans and reclaim the world. Forced from their home, Eren, Mikasa, and Armin join the military to fight back. During their training and early missions, they encounter humanity’s strongest soldier, Levi Ackerman; the brilliant yet eccentric Hange Zoë; and Commander Erwin Smith, a visionary leader committed to uncovering the truth behind the Titans. The military itself is divided among those who cling to safety and those who risk everything to expose long-hidden secrets. As Eren struggles to survive, he discovers a shocking ability: he can transform into a Titan. This power makes him both a strategic weapon and a source of fear, forcing allies and enemies alike to reconsider humanity’s place in the world. With Eren’s newfound power, the Survey Corps attempts bold expeditions beyond the walls. They uncover evidence suggesting Titans may have originated from humans. As political corruption within the inner walls rises to the surface, Erwin and the Survey Corps must challenge their own government to protect the truth. Through dangerous missions, betrayals, and heart-wrenching losses, the characters push forward in pursuit of answers. A pivotal moment occurs during the mission to retake Wall Maria, culminating in an intense battle against powerful Titan shifters and overwhelming odds. Hard-won victory leads to the discovery of secrets hidden in Eren’s family basement. The truth reveals a larger world filled with nations, technology, and a complex history of oppression. Humanity inside the walls learns they are not the last humans alive—they are part of a broader conflict shaped by generations of fear and retaliation. The story transforms from a survival struggle into a confrontation with global injustice. Eren, once driven by revenge, becomes a deeply conflicted figure caught between liberation and destruction. Mikasa and Armin must grapple with the shifting moral landscape, deciding where loyalty ends and duty begins. Levi and Hange lead the surviving soldiers through a world where every new discovery challenges their beliefs. This synopsis lays the foundation for an emotionally intense narrative that blends action, mystery, and profound philosophical questions—ultimately asking what humanity is willing to sacrifice for freedom. Humanity’s struggle intensifies as the walls prove to be more than physical barriers—they are symbols of a controlled history built on lies. As Eren’s powers grow, he becomes a key to unlocking truths that challenge everything people believe about Titans and their own origins. The Survey Corps uncovers layers of political manipulation, moral conflict, and hidden agendas that reveal the real enemy may not be the Titans alone, but the systems that shaped their reality. With every battle, alliances shift, loyalties are tested, and the line between hero and villain blurs. The revelation of a world beyond the walls reshapes the characters' understanding of freedom, forcing them to confront the cost of breaking cycles of violence that span generations. As the truth unfolds, the fight expands beyond simple survival and becomes a str
