Searching for a new full-time host for an ongoing weekly medical news show airing on local networks in California's Central Valley. Must live or being willing to relocate to Fresno, CA. - Provide on camera contributions to a weekly television show - Write 6-7 segments for each episode based on interviews and research. Must be great at taking notes and rewriting scripts. - Interview show guests both in studio and on location - Greet guests during show preparations. - Research show topics and develop questions for guests in coordination with Executive Producer - Attend weekly show meeting - Participate in events –either station-sponsored or others – to promote the show Requirements & Skills: - Bachelor's degree in film, photography, television, news, or related field, or equivalent professional/performance experience - Proven experience as a host or on-air personality - Experience with teleprompter and voice over work a plus - Ability to prioritize and address multiple project with varying production timelines - Must be energetic, positive and great in a team environment - Must be highly motivated self-starter, able to work well alone and as part of a team - Excellent communication and organizational skills - The new host will be an employee of Nexstar Media and will need to join SAG-AFTRA
