Malik has a naturally kind disposition but was forced to be otherwise. Living with bipolar disorder (medication-managed), he walks a fine line between control and emotional overwhelm, reacting quickly when pushed. He feels invisible and misunderstood, trying to survive in a world that either doesn’t care if he’s around or is actively working against him. He is a highly intelligent but guarded teenager who keeps to himself. Always in his hoodie and shades, he observes more than he speaks, using distance as protection. Beneath his quiet exterior is a sharp mind—drawn to investing, flipping items, and getting ahead. Over the course of the story, meeting Coach Marty serves as a reality check, pushing him to confront his inner demons. The emotional and moral backbone of the story.
