PAPER MONSTER – Mascot/Creature Performer We're casting a physical comedy performer to play "Paper Monster," the mascot for a branded social media campaign for a B2B software client. THE CHARACTER: Paper Monster is a person in a full-body costume made entirely of office paperwork – papers, documents, and forms covering them head to toe, with a boxy head. The costume completely obscures the performer's face. Paper Monster embodies workplace frustration and chaos, but genuinely believes he's being helpful and efficient. Think of him as the coworker who's stuck in outdated processes but means well. THE PERFORMANCE: No dialogue. All communication is through physical comedy and non-verbal vocalizations – grunts, groans, sighs, frustrated noises, satisfied hums. The character performs mundane office activities (typing, attending meetings, making coffee, filing) but everything feels slightly absurd. Strong creature/mascot performance experience preferred. WHAT WE NEED: Excellent physical comedy instincts Ability to convey emotion entirely through body language while in a bulky costume Comfortable with monster-like grunting and non-verbal sounds Can perform in costume for extended periods (with breaks) Improvisational skills a plus This is an ongoing campaign with recurring work potential.
