Jason Booth is a rugged, world-weary private investigator with a past steeped in violence and secrets. Once a covert operative, he now drifts through Boston’s seedy underbelly, taking freelance cases that rarely end well. Despite his dry humor and alcoholic veneer, Booth hides a strong moral compass and a deep sense of guilt over the lives he couldn’t save. He’s quick with a quip, fluent in cynicism, but capable of real compassion when faced with true evil. Beneath the sarcasm and self-destruction is a man who still believes in doing the right thing — even when it hurts. “He hunts monsters to prove he isn’t one.”
